Struggle Onward ™

Struggle Onward™ first emerged as my own personal mantra. My father died in January 2019 after only just turning 60 – I found myself where most probably would – in a time of grief. In a time of reflection and thus a time of expression and creation. I began reconnecting with old friends and over time I realized the phrase began to sum up our spirits. It was then I began working on this hand-lettered illustration project. I first released this design on Instagram in support of pride month. February 16th 2020 marked my 30th birthday – so as a birthday present to me, from me – I decided to launch a kickstarter campaign.

Everyone has their own struggles and in a time where often the future seems dire – we can find camaraderie together as we struggle onward. So, let’s move forward together – pay respect to our efforts, feelings, and difficulties. Let’s commit to moving onward with an open mind – inspired to see a brighter future.
